THE REPORT ABOUR CORPUS
 At the beginning of the corpus task, honestly, I couldn’t get used to understand the purpose of the analysis of a corpus in this course. I searched it on Google and tried to understand the benefits of it the task was too different than the previous tasks and it was about a singer’s songs. when I started to doing the corpus task, I understood that it is about analysing and “extract” the requested things out of the list.  For me, corpus analysis of song content is beneficial for analysing most used words and the types of the words in the list. While analysing the corpus, I recognize the types of words such as verbs, nouns, adjectives, prepositions and more. The content of the analysis is about the songs of a chosen singer. In the analysis, the most used vocabularies’’ types are written and write about what kind of vocabularies are they. In my opinion, these are the content and the purpose of the corpus analysis task.
 Before starting to do the task, I read the presentation carefully and try to understand the instructions correctly not to make a mistake.  I downloaded the app and installed it. Later I did open YouTube and searched for English singers. listened tens of singers and at the end, I decided the singer Rihanna. She is not my favourite singer or something but I chose it because her songs are energetic and has a powerful soul. For the next step, I searched her songs and made a list of songs not to forget because most of her songs include duets with other singers. I eliminated the duet songs because it takes a lot of time remove   duet parts from the songs and I was afraid of causing an error in the app. I did open a website for Rihanna’s correct lyrics and I copied them into a word file. after reaching vocabulary limit, I started reading the lyrics, I corrected the mistakes. There were really non- understandable things like “#½123quot&”.  I removed those and wrote the correct words.  Besides, I checked the punctiations in the lines  so that not to have an error  on the app.
